New Zealand is a beautiful country and offers some tremendous tramping especially in the South Island were we do most of our trips. There are no shortage of places to go and valleys to explore. The systems of tracks and huts offers a wide variety of terrain and difficulty ranging from the relatively easy "Great Walks" to many lesser known and less frequently visited areas.

The photos here are for your enjoyment and they may show you some areas you would also like visit. We have purposely not offered any track guides or route descriptions. For these you should look at the DOC website or contact one of DOC's visitor information offices. Track and routes conditions vary with the season and over time and DOC should have up to date information.
